I made this short film to celebrate the beautiful light of the sun setting by the skeletal remains of the West Pier in Brighton. It’s a meditative film with the only narrative being that of seagulls visiting the ironwork.

Play in my Flat (2014)

Play in my Flat was a site-specific play/film/performance in my flat in Brighton, UK. Scenes were filmed in three rooms in my flat: lounge, bedroom and kitchen. Three screens were installed, one in each room, and room-specific scenes were screened during the performance.

I was going through a hard time with my mental health and my GP advised me to start taking anti-depressants every time I saw her. I caved in after yet another request for long-term psychotherapy was turned down.

I came home from work one evening in 2007 feeling frustrated and annoyed, grabbed the nearest canvas, which was painted in a block dark red and threw black paint at it, smearing it all over until no red showed; then I used my finger to draw the humanoid figure sitting on a chair.
